About us
Children’s House Zagreb or Home for children and young adults Zagreb takes care of children without parents or without proper parental care, pregnant women and mothers with children. It provides them with accommodation, technical support and security, and training necessary for the free development of personality. Today, we care about 250 children aged 0 – 21 years.
The management
The Centre is governed by a Management Board appointed for the period from 27 July 2024 to 26 July 2028.
The President of the Management Board is Hrvoje Pezo, MSc, DMD; the Vice-President is Ivana Maras Pezer, BA in Italian Studies and History; and the members are Mirjana Matov, LLB; Ivana Brkljačić, BA in Social Work; and Sanja Čiček.
The Centre for Children Zagreb is managed by Jasna Ćurković Kelava, MD, whose term of office runs from 24 January 2022 to 23 January 2026.
The employees
The institution has 175 employees, of which 130 are nurses, social pedagogues, social workers, psychologists, speech therapist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, educational rehabilitator, etc., 45 employees are accounting and administrative workers and technical staff: cooks, laundresses, maids, janitors.
As part of the home, there is a pediatric practice at the Center Health Center and a dental practice at KBC Zagreb.
